October has been one big blur. A blur of happiness, of progress, of cooler weather, and best of all sweet pups and lots of love. We painted two rooms this month, I lothe painting, but it is a nice change in pace to have some time to work on the house.
Kyle make me a very simple bath caddy recently, and I was able to try it out this past weekend. It works perfect and we had all of the supplies already at the house. Win, win!
The bathroom is painted, and we are feeling good about the color. So the only thing we are missing are two large pieces of art, and to pick some curtains to make. The plan is to knock it all out by the beginning of November!
Happy October!

My thankful cup is full right now. I can be thankful for this full life we have made. It isn't perfect, or even great somedays, but we are working to create that full life. And I, personally, could not be more thankful for that.
Being full is a personal goal of mine this year. And hopefully it will stay with me through many more as well. The word can mean a thousand things, but to me right now, in this moment, it means the weather is getting cooler, the pups want to snuggle more, my husband is extra lovey, and everything seems to be clicking.
Full is love.
Full is warmth.
Full is life.
Full is hope for the holidays.
Full is progress
Full is passion and energy
What is your definition of a full life?

If someone told me that they passed off their bad luck bug to me, I would believe it. I wouldn't hesitate to believe it after the past two weeks. But hopefully that bad luck is turning and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. My hope is that the light will bring me right into the holiday season and into all of the deliciousness that is food season! So close, I can almost taste it.
But for now, we have Halloween coming up and some fun decorations up around the house for all of the kids. Our neighborhood goes all out for Halloween and this year we are excited to be hosting a small family costume party! We can't wait.
Our cousin, Kenny, makes amazing wood pieces and kindly made us a fall inspired pumpkin for our front door (we have a Christmas one on order as well).
We added some new plants outside, and among the new comers is a really neat pineapple plant. We are so excited to see how it continues to grow.
My father in law came by last Saturday and helped us put up a new light in our breakfast nook, and so far I am enjoying it. We also changed the color of the bathroom from a dark burgandy to a light blue. The jury is still out, but I am hoping it grows on me.
Have you done any home renovations lately? How did you like the change?

It has been a really productive weekend. By very productive, I mean our whole little family is exhausted. The yard is manicured, Halloween decorations are up, the bathroom has a new paint job, and the house is spotless. We are not where we want to be with everything, but we are certainly on the way. So this week, I am just thankful that tomorrow is Monday and a start to a new week. It feels great to start the week with a huge to do list behind me.

Well more like a very short San Diego adventure but that isn't a great title. I spent two days last week out of my little Southeastern bubble and took a trip across the country.
My mom was attending a conference for work and asked if I wanted to join her. We stayed by the bay (here) and while she was working I spent my days eating, exploring, and shopping. The weather was exceptionally beautiful and unlike Florida there was no rain in sight.
Seaport Village was just a couple steps outside of the hotel, so I spent a day walking around the quaint shops and exploring the bay.
If you are ever in that area stop by Frost Me and grab an italian soda. Did you know that it actually tastes better with half and half added. Fun fact I brought back.
Other places I loved in San Diego
Nightlife - Gaslamp Quarter
Shopping - Fashion Valley Mall
Donuts - The Donut Bar

With 12 weeks left in this goal of mine, I am having a hard time trying not to repeat the same things over and over. It is easy for me to say I am thankful for my husband/work/life/family every week, but that is not what this goal project was about. It was about being thankful through the hard times, good times, and boring times. That is life and I want to celebrate all that comes with it.
So with 12 weeks left in the year, I plan on making them the best yet in my thankful journey! These last few months are filled with some of my favorite holidays starting with Halloween, moving on to my birthday and Thanksgiving, followed by our dating anniversary and Christmas. It doesn't get much better! For all that is to come and all that has passed this year. I am thankful.
