around here January

It has been a really fun, quick, and relaxing month. With lots of slow weekends and coffee dates. So far so good in our house. Here is what we have been up to. 

Dreaming about a girl's cruise I am going on in August with 11 of the best girls around! 

Taking too many pictures of the pups. They have been lazy and too cute to pass up. 

We jumped over to Jacksonville one night and rooted FGCU on. We couldn't get a single good picture in the gym lighting, but it was such a fun trip. 

Kyle is in love with board games right now. So a couple of new ones have mysterously shown up on my door step recently. We like this one.

We had a really fun night playing games. Mostly cracking up with Cards Against Humanity.  

We are rewatching all of the Friends episodes now that they are on Netflix. How did I not remember how funny this was? Also, have you seen Marco Polo? Pure magic, Netflix. 

Spending lots of nights cuddled under blankets, talking, laughing, and wishing for some spring weather. 

 

 

What a perfect weekend looks like

 This past weekend was so wonderful. We tried to make sure that we didn't plan much this weekend so we could spend some much needed time around the house. We wrapped gifts, took night walks to look at the neighborhood lights, and slept in both mornings. We took a break from relaxing to attend our annual work holiday party. It is always so much fun, and we came home with some great new memories. 

We have great plans for the next week. My sister in law is coming into town for a couple weeks, and I can't wait to see my niece for the first time. We also have some exciting things going on at work, and hopefully some festive holiday events this weekend.

August Lately

August has been another wonderful month. Very full and at some times crazy but totally wonderful. As the month is coming to an end, I noticed I haven't posted much of what is going on over here. 

The month was entirely too hot to do much of anything outside, so we spent a lot of time in various pools and staying cool inside. Thank goodness cooler months are headed for us.

At the beginning of the month, I had a bunch of girls over for a Beyonce themed party. And it was so much fun. We danced, sang our hearts out, and girl talked all night. Can't wait for the next one ladies! We also had a great beach weekend with the family, which we spent the whole time in the pool, and loved every minute of it. 

Our pups have brought an entirely new meaning to the phrase dog days of summer. They have been so lazy and so adorable all summer. Lounging and cuddling are their new middle names. So of course, all I have been doing is taking silly pictures of them. I mean hundreds! 

We have had a lot of fun, a little bit of celebrating, and a whole lot of living. September, we are ready for you. Don't let us down.

Around here...

I am wearing my hair curly as much as the humidity will let me (which is not much in Florida this time of year). 

Soaking up some time with the pups. 

Not spending enough quiet weekend nights at home with my guy. But when we do, they are so special.

Bowling for the first time in a long time. We will definitely be back soon. 

Going and doing much more than usual. With friends, family, and just the two of us. 

Talking future plans with my main man. 

Looking back on an amazing July but also looking forward to a new month. 

Packing again for a week long work trip. 

Taking recommendations on larger travel luggage. I am done with small suitcases. 

Loving this in every color. 

Planning a Beyonce dance night sleepover with the best girls. 

Spending so much time wishing I was in Japan to see my new niece. I was so excited to see her on Facetime yesterday. My heart is so full of love for that little one and her parents.

Celebrating life, love and joy in this little house of ours.

so excited that I have an extra day off from work this week. 

just glad to be healthy, happy, and full of life.

watching nothing good, because Dracula has decided to keep us hanging as to whether they will have another season. Where are my Dracula fans at? Outrage I tell you!

joyful for a new life that my wonderful sister in law is bringing into this family.

1. Love Waffle House dates. Especially with my ladies. 2. Wine tasting. This is a great Florida winery. 3. Rain, rain go away. 4. Saturday morning shenanigans. 5. Ah-mazing book! 6. His & Her drinks 7. First outdoor meal of the year by the water with family 8. We have a sleepy pup. He hates mornings as much as I do. 

TGIF! This weekend we are heading to see my parents in Jacksonville. I miss them terribly. We also have a truly exciting week coming up. My sister in law is coming home from Japan (ahhhh), and the mister and I have a short weekend getaway planned.

1-2.He came home and didn't even want to take his harness off. That was a first. 2. Valentine's Day gifts for my guy. He wanted to go see The Lego Movie, so off we went on Sunday. 3-4. Chilly morning snuggles in Kyle's robe. 5. It looks like I robbed the Young Adult section of a bookstore. I promise I didn't. 6. Still too cold to swim, but it is getting there! I feel it.

1. When it is cold, we have the sleepiest pups around. 2. Work office, and new chopped off hair. Five inches gone! 3. All I want to wear lately is black and white. 4. This is one grumpy baby girl.

Weekend wedding festivities

On Wednesday night, we headed south to watch two of our closest friends celebrate their wedding. It was a truly special time and we were so honored to be a part of it. It was a whirlwind weekend full of so much love, friendship, and of course laughter. So much laughter! The wedding was absolutely perfect and the weather was definitely on our side!
