Everyone loves fortune cookies, right? They always seem so silly at the time. But when you throw them in your purse and find them a month later. They always speak right to the heart!
We had a date night this past weekend and these were the two fortune cookies we were dealt. They fit so well into this chapter in our lives. We are slowly learning to be happy and proud of all that we have, all that we have gone through, and all that we have yet to go through. We are learning to deal with problems as they came. No matter how big, how silly, or how tough.
These past couple weeks have been really tough. In general, it was just a very trying time. I won't go into why, well because that just isn't me. We laugh it off, we put a smile on, and we move on.
The moral is that this is our time as US, the two of us, to really do what we want. Go where we want. Find ourselves as a couple. We always seem to be thinking about the excuses that we can't do this, or we can't do that. I call schnanigans because I believe we can.
Slowing down is my theme for this year. Slow down and just think it through. Is that sock on the groung worth being upset? No. Will you like that very expensive hat a year from now? Probably not.
