Thankful 32/52

Life can sometimes get hard, and sometimes it is so perfect. That's why they call it a rollercoaster. It can change on a dime. Whether it is bad or good, I am so thankful for my support systems. The people that are there for the good, the bad, and even the ugly. (I am a total ugly crier. It is really bad). So this week I am pulling a photo from my archives to say thank you to everyone that has a piece of my heart. 

Thankful 30/52

It seems so strange that we are more than halfway through the year. August will be here before we know it, and then right around the corner will be the holidays. So right around this time each year, I start to think forward. Stocking up on early Christmas gifts, planning trips for the end of the year, and dreaming of cooler weather. But this year, I haven't hit that stage yet. I seem to be pushing for that time period when the weather cools down a little but is still warm enough to sit outside at night. It is a different year and a completely different stage in my life. The changes are subtle, but I realize how much a year can change me, my family, and life in general. I am thankful for those small changes, thankful for a growing family (my sister in law had her beautiful daughter this week), and a life to look forward to. 

Thankful 29/52

This week while packing to head on a quick weekend trip, Tilly jumped on the bed and onto our clothing. I tried to move her but all she wanted to do was go back to the same spot. She looked so cute I just couldn't move her. She hates when we leave her, but I am so glad we have been able to leave her and Lucas with their grandparents instead of boarding lately. I am grateful for supportive parents who gladly spoil our fur babies while bonding over the weekends. Thanks mom and dad.

I am thankful this week for new books, the quiet that comes with unpacking after a trip, and an uneventful weekend ahead of us. 

Thankful 26/52

This week has been full of a whole lot of silliness. I would say that is putting it pretty lightly. And would you guess, most of the incidents this week involved a certain pup by the name of Lucas. Let's just say that our week has included a squirrel inside of the house, and our lizard Killy escaping from her cage the same day Luke gets out of his crate. The good news is that the squirrel and Killy are both safe and back where they belong. Me, well I am still dreaming of squirrels at night. 

So the week is almost over, and I couldn't be more excited or thankful. We have a pretty great weekend planned and next week my guy turns 25! We are celebrating with friends and family twice and then mid week we are heading to DC for a long weekend getaway. 

Thankful 25/52

This week has gone by like lightning. It has been a good week though. Good things happening on all sides. We are planning a fun trip to see some amazing friends, awesome surprises at work, and hopefully spending some time with family at the end of the weekend. Plus I am always thankful for a husband who cooks. And a night full of wine tasting at a local organic market in our little town. All in all, it has been a great week and one that I am truly thankful for. Here is to a wonderful weekend of relaxing. 

Thankful 24/52 on a Monday

Last week I was struggling with a summer cold. I am just now seeing the fog clear, and boy am I thankful for that. Summer colds are the absolute worst. It is hot and sweaty and then add the need to stay in bed and drink hot tea all day. It ends with troubled sleep and some rough days. But we are moving on to the start of a very good week.

I am thankful for a Monday that was quick and easy, a weekend to look forward to, getting to meet beautiful new babies, and a husband with a good work schedule this week. 

I am also working on perfecting a banana bread recipe! So my kitchen is a mess, but such a fun mess. Here is to the start of a tasty week! Have a good one. 

Thankful 23/52

I am sitting down to write what I am thankful for this week, and I started to laugh at how it has turned out so far. It was supposed to be a full week at work, and then a full weekend planned with family graduations and such. But very spontaneously I was invited to go on a wonderful vacation for the weekend, and I just couldn't pass it up. So Friday morning, I will be sailing off on a small adventure with my mom, brother, and a couple friends. I wish my guy was able to go with us, but I am thankful to be able to spend some quality (stuck on a boat) time with my brother and mom. As you can see, Tilly wanted to go with me!

Thankful 22/52

Happy Thursday. And what a spendid Thursday it is because Friday is almost here. This week I am thankful for upcoming weekends that are filled with warm weather, beautiful eyelit dresses, swimming pools full of laughing people, and tasty cookouts. 

Thankful 21/52

You know those weeks? The ones that are really rough to get through. Time seemed slow, the nights were restless, and at the end of the day you are just exhausted. That has been the scene over here this week. Full of a sick day, some bad news, a completely messy house, and some major work frustrations. But I have almost made it to Friday with the promise of a Memorial Day holiday on Monday! All goes by the wayside after that realization. 

I am thankful for this extra day to regenerate, clean, organize, and maybe catch up on some reading! I have some small goals for my long weekend that include working on the back patio, possibly the first backyard cookout, and hopefully a lot of time spent with the husband.
